Initiative reCOVER combines cutting-edge technology to design and build energy-efficient homes for disaster-relief efforts. This project will also be creating a workforce in Southern Virginia for manufacturing of the energy-efficient homes. The SVHEC's R&D Center for Advanced Manufacturing & Energy Efficiency (R&D CAMEE) played a key role in building the house's amenity wall. This project is just one example of R&D CAMEE's innovative work.

On February 7, the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center taped seven television segments for the WSET ABC-13 show Living in the Heart of Virginia.
