The mission of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center is to advance Southern Virginia's economic potential through education, innovation, and collaboration. We are guided by this mission and by our core belief that education is the catalyst for change.

Located in the town of South Boston (Halifax County) in the Southern region of Virginia, the SVHEC offers students a high quality education through our partnerships with 9 colleges and universities, and 13 industry partners. Here you can earn everything from a GED to a Ph.D. With 75 degree options, you may take courses or pursue a certificate or degree in everything from Nursing and Business Management to Engineering, Digital Art & Design, and Product Design & Development.
